In 2021-2022, I held a second Pantastic! competition via my podcast.

Winner J.M.Golding

The photos were incredible - especially when you consider that they were taken on cheap plastic panorama cameras that people usually throw away.

Brian Smith

The competition rules only allowed certain types of cameras:

  1. The camera must be made of plastic.

  2. The camera must be fixed-focus.

  3. The camera must weigh less than 150grams / 5oz.

  4. The camera needs to be capable of taking images in panoramic format.

  5. If the camera needs any kind of battery to operate, it’s not eligible to take part.

Casey Hall

Eligible cameras included the Ansco Pix, Wide Pic Panorama, and Vivitar panorama cameras.

Matthew Joseph and I judged entries from all over the world.

Ken Tuomi

The winner, J.M. Golding, took a stunning series of vertical panoramas which were then stitched together.

Francois Laverdure

The zine features one photo from each entrant who took part in the competition.
