Hi Matt. Only recently discovered your great youtube channel. This will be my first go at the Frugal Film Project, looking forward to it. A friend if mine kindly enquired with Sherry at the FFP and, apparently, as I'm not on facebook but I am on Instagram, if I add #frugalfilmptoject, then my offerings will be noted I believe. My choices are as follows: - Adox Sport 6x9 folder (one from my collection that effectively cost me nothing) with an old Zeiss Ikon Ikophot light meter that seems to work ok and Kentmere 400 film, developed in caffenol. Fingers crossed 🤞☺️

Amazing, thanks so much for watching my YouTube and subscribing on here! Glad to hear you're doing the FFP - it can be a grind but it's a great project. Fantastic that you can take part on Insta, I'll keep a look out for you!

Woah with grabbing a stylus epic for 70 bucks and that film deal you are set! That is sweet! Ever since 2021 I’ve kept my x100v always on me and been shooting with that and since early last year have started to do monthly photo posts but as 2024 is here haven’t really given any thought to a new photo related resolution. I like that a roll a month idea. Haven’t really done too much film stuff lately. Perhaps I’ll bust out my yashica T2 I snagged several years back for $30 bucks and shoot the last 4 rolls of Fujifilm c200 I got for 4 dollars a roll. That will keep things frugal indeed.

Hi Michael, T2 would be a cool camera to use for sure, great deal at $30! X100V is such a cool camera as well, I haven't used mine as much since I got the GR III but I can't bring myself to sell it.

I've been looking into the GR III mostly because it has a wider lens, is a whole lot smaller, still has a built in ND filter and IBIS to boot! Unfortunately I feel like since shooting the X100V all the time I have developed jpg only shooting and workflow and really love the workflow and the amazing jpg straight out of camera images I am getting. I know Ricoh just updated the firmware with a "negative film" recipe/setting but I will have to give it a try and see how it compares. I tried my friend's GR II but wasn't really a fan.

I'm going to participate in the Frugal Film Project this year - last year was a bust for me due to family medical problems, but I'm going back into this year with determination. I'll be shooting my 43 yr old Olympus OM-2N with an old Tamron 35-80mm zoom and expired (but refrigerated) Ilford XP-2+. I'm also going to do a second camera - the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 and commit to taking at least 6 photos a month with it.

Woohoo! That's great Craig! When I was writing this post I realised I had actually tried to do the FFP in 2020 and 2021 but hadn't completed it. It sounds easy in theory, but it's a commitment for sure! Looking forward to seeing your results!
