Really nice write-up and I personally loved the addition of the audio ... something I’ve been thinking about myself, additional ways to immerse the reader in the images ... Thanks for sharing
Thanks Bimbles! So glad you liked the audio. I was going to add it as a video but I think just the sound worked better. I hope to add audio or video to a lot more posts coming up. I took so much video footage in Japan. Cheers Matt
I have been to Japan once and I know what you mean by „you‘ve felt like you had unfinished business there“. It is such an amazing country and I would love to return one day...
Yes! The funny thing is, since I've been back I've already thought up several 2 week trips I'd love to do ha ha. This feeling of 'unfinished business' will probably last a decade! Thanks for reading Susanne :)
Probably! =) I only have been to the main island, but would do visit Hokkaido. We‘ve tried to take in as much as possible in 18days. Next time I would try to travel at a slower pace. I hope to see more from your trip!
Hokkaido was wonderful! We went there in late March for 6 days but only saw Sapporo and Jozankei. It was much colder there which we enjoyed, also a lot less overseas tourists as the snow season had ended. Slower pace is always best, but I never seem to learn that lesson myself ha ha. Just like I always take too many cameras!

Haha, guilty of latter too! But I am getting there.
