Great pics from 'around the neighbourhood'. Indeed, I think visiting a place is as much about seeing normal, everyday life as much as the more usual touristy bits, helps get a fuller flavour so to speak.
Thanks so much Michael! Arashiyama is such a lovely spot. We visited briefly in Spring but I went back in November to walk around, ride the Romantic Train, visit Yusai-Tei Gallery, and of course Kokedera / Moss Temple.
