If point and shoots are my favourite type of camera, toy cameras are my second favourite.
I love the quirky unexpected results that toy cameras can produce. They are the complete antithesis of the “more megapixels, sharper pictures” results that so many photographers chase.
There’s nothing wrong with sharp pictures of course, but a photo doesn’t need to be sharp, or in focus, or perfectly composed to be compelling.
All of the images here were shot in and around Komodo National Park in Indonesia. I loaded up 200 speed film in the Supersampler, knowing that the bright conditions would work well. The camera has a set aperture of f/11 and a set shutter speed of 1/100 second.
As you’ve no doubt worked out by now, the camera has 4 lenses. Each time you press the shutter button, you end up with 4 panoramic images on one frame of 35mm film. A lot of people have shot moving subjects with this camera, but I love the repetition of stationary subjects.

Excited by the toy camera love! I have a Holga and really like it so far. This camera looks very interesting!
Looks like fun, Matt😀
