"Purple Grain" Film Photography Zine
Photos from the LomoChrome Purple collab competition
In 2021 I held a competition through my podcast for photos shot on LomoChrome Purple. Still in the grip of a pandemic, the competition was popular with listeners: 54 entries rolled in from 9 countries across the globe.
The photos showed the incredible range of colours and tones that are possible with this wonderful film. We had entries on all 3 types of LomoChrome Purple film: 35mm, 120, and 110. My co-judge was the wonderful Kate Grout, author of The Purple Book.
As we read out the entries during the podcast recording, Kate said to me "It's pretty awesome that so many people have shot LomoChrome Purple for the first time because of this competition. That should make you feel pretty cool. " Yes, yes it did.
