Photos from the first plastic pano camera challenge competition
In 2020 I ran a competition via my podcast for images taken with cheap plastic panorama cameras. These are usually the type of camera that people throw away, yet from the images below, you can see the incredible results they are capable of.
The competition had some rules for the type of camera that was allowed:
The camera must be made of plastic.
The camera must be fixed-focus.
The camera must weigh less than 150grams / 5oz.
The camera needs to be capable of taking images in panoramic format.
If the camera needs any kind of battery to operate, it’s not eligible to take part.
Eligible cameras include the Ansco Pix, Wide Pic Panorama, and Vivitar panorama cameras. We ran the competition again in 2022, so look out for another post soon with examples from that competition.
