Going back to photograph the same places time and time again is a challenge.
Sometimes you come away with nothing new to show, but other times you finally get the shot you’ve been after. I’ve photographed this ice cream van at Wynnum a few times, but never got such a clean shot of it without cars or people in the way.
Here’s another of my photographic muses - Graham’s Discount Tyres. This ramshackle old place on Brisbane’s Bayside gave up selling tyres years ago. Every time I need to use up some frames on a roll I’ll happily shoot one here.
Of course, you know I can’t resist walking past a Hills Hoist without taking a shot.
I love taking photos in older neighbourhoods of Brisbane. There’s all sorts of lines and shapes that I love to capture. The house above has many distinctive features that I remember from my childhood in the 70s and 80s.
I love all the lines on this driveway with double garage.
I’m growing to like the Stylus Epic. Like, not love. I feel we’re finally getting into our groove. As evidenced above, it certainly has a sharp lens.
